AWOL is proud to bring you our very first episode. What started as a conversation during a ride home from a car show, followed by a chance meeting between the founding members of this project at another car event, has spawned one of the most passionate projects any of us has embarked upon. We are very excited to share this episode with all of the visitors to our site and plan to bring you many more hours of film and fun over the coming year, and beyond

VW : Erste Zeichnung der neuen US - Limousine

Ab 2011 will der VW-Konzern den US-Markt mit einer neuen Mittelklasselimousine aufrollen. Dieses soll speziell auf die US-Kundschaft zugeschnitten sein und auch in den USA im neuen VW-Werk vom Band laufen. Die vorläufig New Midsize Sedan (NMS) getaufte Limousine soll im neuen VW-Werk in Chattanooga im US-Bundesstaat Tennessee von Band laufen.

Wie die erste offizielle Skizze zeigt, wird die Limousine, die speziell für den nordamerikanischen Markt konzipiert wurde, eine Mischung aus Passat und Phaeton. VW rechnet für das neue Modell mit einem Diesel-Anteil von 30 Prozent. Ab 2011 will VW vom neuen Modell rund 150.000 Einheiten jährlich fertigen.
